As soon as we get any rain the rear PDC contantly sounds when in reverse (even when completely clear of obsticles), when the rain stops and the car has 20 or 30 minutes to dry it goes back to normal. Its really irritating and have cleaned the sensors and has made no difference. The puzzling thing is that it doesnt happen when I wash the car!
Has anyone come across this before or does anyone have an easy fix?
Cheers

A few things to try.
> If you run you finger over the sensors one at a time (when the PDC light is on) you will feel/hear them pulsing. The one that isn't is the cause of your problem.
> Make sure there is no grit between the housing and the sensor - this is the most common cause when they are wet.
Ian ..so what can I fiddle with today that ain't broken ...?

Do the sensors prise out of the bumper easily? or does the bumper have to come off? '16 Volvo XC90 R Design Bursting Blue (Vera)

All the sensors are the same both front and back (YDB500311).
They clip into the Bezels' that are angled to their posistion in the bumper. The complete assenbly is then pushed through the bumper.
The sensor and bezel can be removed from the bumper, but in most cases the bezel cracks because of the presure you need to pull it out of the bumper.
It is best to try and push them out from behind.
When you put them back into the bumper - don't push on the sensor head when you put them back. Push on the bezel. Also make sure they are the correct way up
If you want I have a pic of the sensor and bezel so you can see the how they clip into the bumper.

Thanks Ian , next time it rains i will have a look and try to work out which 1 is playing up and have a go, if i'm struggling ill take it back to the dealer, i extended the warrenty so ill let them sort it. Its just sods law everytime i book it in and mention the sensors it isnt raining on the day and they work fine when they test it! (along with the suspension which sinks everynight except when in the dealers! )
