Rear right passenger Door latch cable

The right rear passnger door would not open from the inside,i removed the handle/lever and found that it is the cable that is attached to the latch has come off from the latch side not handle side. ( i assume is the cable as i can move cable and no resistance. How does one get to the latch, has the motor for window winder is in the way. How does one remove the motor without disturbing the cables that drive the glass mechanism, any pointers

I removed the door trim, but could not gain access t latch with out removing window winder motor, my scare is what hold the cable on the windo winder in place if i remove to get to latch, and my other scare is the stealer's book a truck in for door and it will come back with nuts and wheels missing as they are sure to have no clue what is going on.

Dunno , i have only ever removed the front door panel and that was simular to the diagram.

Never had to remove the window winder motor.

I would have a look again as the LR instructions dont say anything about removing it

Ok ..just looked at the LR instructions and if its the internal latch then yes you do have to remove the window motor...there is also a special tool for removing the glass from the motor and holding it in place.

Job for the dealer i think..

send me an email via PM and i will forward you the documents

Don't know if its anything like the TD5's but the special tool for holding the glass up ,once you released the clamp nuts , was gaffer tape stuck to the outside face of the glass , up over the top of the door frame and then stuck to the inside of the glass. But they've probably made them a bit more awkward since then.

Has anyone done a lock mechanism replacement yet? Mine's started to stick on the driver's door and I'm keen to do it myself if possible. Is it the lack mechanism that sticks, or something else?
