Hi all,

After some advice on wireless rear view cameras - any recommendations from the tin tenters?

After previous dealings a while ago with wireless systems I've kept to wired.
Been dealing with this company for the last seven years for wired systems, he assures me that these are good but I haven't tried them yet, I'm on the point of trying one though. Service has always been top notch to me.

I am using their digital wireless link https://www.parkingcameras.com/store/produ...amp;page=2 with a narrow angle camera on the back of my TA caravan. The transmitter is connected to the camera at the back of the caravan and the receiver fitted in the back of my Disco then running it to my GVIF. There is no drop out or interference whatsoever, I even drove down the road with the system switched on and the caravan in the drive and I must've managed over 100mtrs distance before the picture failed. I did have a wired trailer link before going wireless and must admit there is slight degradation of the image (slightly more pixellated on the moving image) on wireless but it is perfectly viewable.

How do you mount the camera on the back of a caravan? Surely you don't screw it into the roof or something?

God no! Wasn't that brave. I created a bracket for the camera that is then mounted on the back window frame. The wire is then routed between the window and seal. Some quick photos taken. There is thin self-adhesive foam on the back of the bracket to protect the caravan.

I have been looking at cameras as the new tintent doesn't have a rear window, had a few cars so close to the van you can't see them. Looking for something I can fit at the rear of the van and have its own screen in the Disco while I am towing.
