Our recent trip to the highlands.
Our 3 day trip around the highlands covering around 1200 miles including Fort William, Fort Augustus, over the Skye border, Inverness, Aviemore, Ben Nevis, Oban, and returned via Sterling and Edinburgh. Very nice and the D3 was very at home
(Sorry the D3 pics weren't better will try harder next time )

Looks like a great trip....Eilean Donan is on this years list,as are the Kelpies....pretty hectic 3 days but looks like the weather was kind at least "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Thanks guys really enjoyed it.
The horse head statues were on the way home as we headed past Falkirk towards Edinburgh they are massive and look great as did the plane that looked like it was going to land on us not far from there. A brilliant unscheduled extra to the trip was a couple of sightings of what I think we're Typhoons very low and sideways through the mountains almost took your breath away D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Thanks for your comments, most of the pics came out good considering they were taken using an iPhone. Will look forward to the pics off those of you who will be up there soon and hopefully be able to build a new route for our next visit.
Scotland never stopped amazing us right from the start really, we decided to refuel at the last shell station available so came off route into Helensburgh and had to cut across past what looked like a naval base and a loch back to the A82 and what a road twisting and turning up and down like a roller coaster in what can only be described as a fabulous back drop, very enjoyable and wasn't even planned D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo
