An hour of my life I will not get back. Barbara warned me about watching it.
Somehow I got the impression none of those presenters had actually driven off road.

It was the 'as we headed further west' while they're showing pictures of them heading south through Glencoe* that got to me most!
The scenes at Oban airport reminded me that I should do a detour via the A828 on my trips to/from England for a bit of variety.
* and then north and then south and then north on another bit of Glencoe/Rannoch Moor.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Well I enjoyed it if nobody else did!! At least they put Chris Harris in the Defender. The one of the three that does know a bit about cars. Great advert for Scotland though. Stunning scenery.

The funny thing is though that Chris Harris actually owns a G wagon. He bought one a year or so back to tow his rally car about.
He did go for a diesel version though, which is why is was giving paddy stick at the start, for buying the wrong one!

Take it for what it is, a bit if fun.
I don't think it was meant to be an hour long instructional video on technical driving.
Wasn't as good as the D3 review though 2014 D4 XS

didn't enjoy the episode TBH, until the last bit the 'tests' were pointless exercises and didn't impart anything useful about the cars. Even taking it as a 'bit of fun' and not a 'report on the vehicles' I thought it was pretty poor overall.
As a tourists information film for Scotland though it was stunning
Two contrasting episodes from the absolutely brilliant 'dads cars' one (IMO) to this one.....

Haven’t seen it but it sounds like it’s going to make up here even busier during The Big Staycation, otherwise known as summer. Hope they can cope with midgies!

Well I thought it was great too - some sad gits on here expecting Top Gear to do a proper review - its an Entertainment show now (as it has been for years) where three blokes cock around in cars, what did you expect FFS?
Any almost without exception, some of us on here have done almost everything in our Disco's that TG did with those three cars last night over the years... when they were brand new too, and not in the old crates that seem to exist in here now...Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Your expectations that TG is an educational and instructional show are somewhat wide of the mark. It's an entertainment show involving three middle aged men dicking around in cars.

Its borderline entertainment, would be far better without that Paddy McGuinness shouting his way through the entire episode like an child with adhd.

I haven’t watched any of the new Top Gear episodes, by the sounds of it I’m not missing much in this episode.
I’ll wait for The Grand Tour Scotland episode.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
