Recommended place to buy aftermarket key fob complete
Ok, after having to sit down and have a large scotch after been told the cost of replacement keys from Landrover I need to get a couple of replacements, aftermarket. I have the AP200 so can reprogram with no problem. So looking for advice on where others may have bought from, EBay, Amazon or maybe an independent online supplier. Thanks and Happy Easter 👍

Hi,
just going to ask in a new thread about Frequency
have seen a few posts and most mention 433mhz and some mention 315mhz with 433mhz for UK but check on your existing fob, flip out the key (I have a D3) and it is on the casing
ours says 315mhz
but all I have found on the bay of fleas are 433mhz
what to go for and what frequency do other D3 owners have

433 MHz is the required frequency band in the UK.
A fob supplied to me by accesfobs.co.uk did however come marked 315Mhz. Access fobs assured me that it was a 433 MHz version and this proved correct.

I received a complete key fob yesterday from EBay and as some others have found not all work/programmable, Unfortunately I got a dud 🤬. It was only £14 so was worth a punt. Need to look for decent uk supplier. Any ideas?

This is bordering on unhelpful, but in 2017 I bought 2 x Discovery 3 complete keys from this ebay seller:
Both continue to work flawlessly. He doesn't have any D3 keys listed for sale currently but maybe you could reach out to him.
I paid £20 each. I had to get them cut obviously (in the UK) but that wasn't so much. I did it mail order sending the broken key fob as a pattern, and can send you the firm I used if it helps
RRUK did replacement keys for me a while back might be worth contacting them for a price?

Thanks for all the replies. I have had a bit of luck this morning. I contacted Timpsons and my local branch have come up trumps. Took both original key fobs to them. First one new micro switches, battery, case and full PCB board check for bad solder. Even the case was branded!! Second one however is knackered because where the rubber casing buttons had perished dirt etc has got in and even with new micro switches it still doesn't work. So at least I have one decent key for now. Happy weekend to all

Hi,
any mention of frequency
as R.S has mentioned the key I have has 315 on it but it also came with another blank remote there has a battery and 3 micro switches inside but no board
I suspect previous owner has already done a re-furb remote case and thats why they have the 315 on them Transit! 2019

To confirm the frequency is 433mhz and this was double checked by Timpsons. I have to say I was very impressed with the guys knowledge. Seems like he sees a lot of Land Rover owners. Well stocked with LR key fobs rechargeable batteries and the correct micro switches 👍
