Hi everyone,i wonder if any of you have ever had a recurring flat battery on your Disco3?
I have just bought an 04 SE TDV6 with 13k miles on the clock, previous owner was Land Rover.Picked it up on the Thursday by the following Wednesday it was being jump started by a Disco2!Land Rover said next time get LR Assistance to come out so they can check for faults. It then went into Land Rover for checks for which they found none. The Saturday after Flat battery again! The only indications that something is wrong is the computer shows a "Transmission fault" and the PDC stops working.I got my car back from Land Rover Tuesday they got it back Thursday as the computer and PDC faults began to show and the engine turned over slowly in the morning.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as Land Rover are scratching their heads.
Gus
P.S.they fitted a new battery already. Disco3 TDV6 Se Black, all the usual things and gadgets.

Battery problem is now fixed.Originally i was told the battery had been changed the first time it went flat but it seems they did not !!!I now have a new battery and fingers crossed everything is fine.To be fair to the dealer while my car was in the garage while they ran "diagnostics" i was given not the usual loaner service depts usually give but a Disco 3!! Also it came back to me with privacy glass FOC!I know we all hear of lots of cases of bad after sales service but im happy to say this time the dealer gets a pat on the back!!!
Thanks everyone taking a look at my post too!!

Gus, who is your dealer? I am in Stockport, and so far have only used Guy Salmon, who are just about OK, they don't loan out D3's though.

Hi Gareth, the dealer is Williams in Manchester. This is my first time experience of their after sales service as i normally use Rockside.I only bought my D3 from them because the Williams sales team is made up of Ex Rockside guys!In total i have bought for my company 6 Land Rovers from the now Williams sales team and they are really ok,not the usual sales type,by that i mean pushy!
As for the loan of the D3 i think it was a one off because i told them they could stick mine where the sun does not shine because of the problems with it!!I would say though the service dept seem to know how to look after customers, even if they get their wires crossed sometimes re messages.
Let me know if u want to know more about my experiences with them.

Hi Gareth,Fixed a problem? Nice one!!! Its good when they do manage to fix a problem.Seems dealers and LR Assist when i have spoken to them are still getting their heads round the whole Disco3 concept still!!
Ill keep a look out on the M60 for another Zambezi silver D3,one of them might be you,so ill flash my lights at them all.

Yep ok I'll keep me eyes peeled. Mine is usually in the overtaking lane. Usually on the East side M60, I try and avoid the Trafford side like the plague!
