release bearing ...

suspecting release bearing going ... does it have to be repaired asap or can I drive with it a few more K???

Ho There, i would get it sorted asap, and stick a clutch in it whilst your doing it, ( what are the symptoms) noisy on tickover goes away when you depress the clutch.

symptoms, loud rattle when switching off the car quieter with clutch depressed and making loud metallic "bang" when depressing on the clutch while in reverse....

mentioned it to stealers before feckers said it was all OK

when ticking over normally does it make any noise or is it only on turning engine off, and depression when in reverse. normally when a release bearing starts being noisy they go quite when clutch Depressed. So possibly sumat loose on the plate, mountings,

the rattle when switched off could be the dual mass flywheel rattling they have alot of play when they are new
