Relocating usb and iPod ports

Has any one relocated the usb and iPod port from the center cubby?

Is it possible to strip out the cable and reroute it to the glove box?

I have both the cubby box lid and glove box USB Ports, I wired the glove box one to the cable running to the cubby box. If you didn’t want to do that, just unplug the cubby box connector under the console and plug the glove box cable in. You can’t do it straight to the head unit as the head unit (IAM) is a female connector and so is the glove box cable. Car is a 2012 RRS but should be same for 2012 disco 4

The ports in a 2012 D4 are in the centre cubby box under the lid (I'm sure, although my memory is getting old), its the later ones where they moved to the glove box.

Cable is about 90 quid. Don't know how easy it will be to fiddle the cable back out and through.

I may give it a try this weekend if it ever stops raining.

I bought my cable off eBay for £30, just took what I needed out of the loom. There is a pair of wires to splice into the illumination and another 4 which go into or spliced into the Aux jack connections (depends if yo have the aux jack in the rear) on the main IAM connector (I think it was that one).

Cable is long enough to reroute. All done took half an hour. Now in glovebox where it should have always been.
