dont know what your towing regs are like but we have a rule of thumb that the weight on the ball should be at least 10% of the weight of the trailer (min 7% by law) when empty then you just load it up evenly. never heard of any concerns over nose up,down or whatever so long as the weight is on the ball and not lifting the car shouldn't be a problem.

it's 350 kg in Australia and I believe 150kg in the UK.

Bit light that.
In the LR D3 accessory catalogue, it quotes "150kg trailer nose load"
However, I think most caravans are limited to 100kg on the tow coupling.
