I feel educated,

But then, never had any plans to go the de-cat route anyway.

Heck, there have even been moderators on here that make "suggestions" about carrying out an offence, so it must be within the rules Shocked :

And I thanked you for your advice and followed up your helpful comment “In such circumstances other site users can remind or debate with those that their views or activity may be crossing the line, law, regulation”.

So it all seems fair game to me Thumbs Up

Besides, if I were to choose to break the law, I probably wouldn’t choose to exchange advice on how best to do it in a public forum! Rolling Eyes Laughing

You’re assuming that their vehicles aren’t for off road use only...

This is very true Dan.

But, some users’ keenness to check on the ways to deceive MoT testers by discussing ways of concealing changes behind panels, or even looking to trade EGR valve dummy piping, doesn’t fill me with much optimism there Rolling Eyes The last time I checked, an MoT test wasn’t required for off road use Wink

I know some race series regulations require an MOT etc. And there is an MSA regulation that gets you out of some other regulations if the car is road legal.

So after receiving advice via PM not only did you choose to then doubt the advice given in public.... but you are now making parts of my PM public. Rolling Eyes

Please remember that as far as i can tell this forum also has members from countries all over the world and might not be restricted by your laws. It would be best for the benefit of other members to let them discuss modifications to their vehicles as they see fit.
