How to remove 'shelf' (?) above upper glove box?

Any advice on how to remove this plastic shelf thingy that's just above the upper glove box?



After several months of trying to locate a very annoying rattle, I've found that it is this thing vibrating. I want to pull it out and see what I can do to tidy it up a bit.

Are you sure it is that and not the glove box door itself? Mine rattles unless I have it open and resting on the catch Sad Dave

No, haven't figured out how to remove the shelf...so still rattles.

BUT, I'm certain it's the shelf because I was able to pull off the far right vent trim which gave me just enough room to shove some foam insulation under the right side of the shelf. The rattle we reduced substantially but there is still some there. If I can figure out how to access the rest of it, I'm certain that foam under the entire shelf will solve the issue.

Mine rattles. I put a little bit of tissue in the way and close it . Shuts the rattle up completely. Well did for me. It just a lose catch

Might be hard it's comes with the whole dash top and can't be removed Sad
Are you sure it's not the lower dash?
