Removing Front Grille on MY12 |
|
Just trying to remove the front grille on a MY12 XS, I've undone the top 4 clips as per the handbook but it appears to be connected at the bottom on both sides. Am I missing something or does it just need a good yank to free it from the body of the vehicle. 2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux

Thanks, just done it, for anyone else there are two locating clips at the bottom of the grille that took some force to remove that aren't memtioned in the handbook, just pull the grille firmly at the bottom straight ahead and they will give. 2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux

Those two bottom clips require a bit of oomph when you put the grill back on again. At least mine do. The grill was wobbling about and making a noise until It tracked it down.

Yep, you guessed it changing the bulbs, went for the Osram +90s, not bad for £10.99 for the pair, not quite as white as the xenons but far better than the oem bulbs .
The grille was a lot easier to refit but as was said takes a good bit of percussion adjustment to get the clips back home. Don't remember the D3 being that difficult, although I seem to remember it had a couple of clips at the bottom not the friction fit ones fitted now. 2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux

During my recent accident, the front grille on my D4 remained secure at the top but came loose at it's bottom end, was left sticking out somewhat! Didn't look damaged otherwise, might be salvageable! 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial
