The common technique, well site Mod DG took mine off, and there is a knack to it.
1. Stand so that the vent is behind you.
2. Hands Behind back, fingers through vent and bend knees
3. Lift vent up, it hooks at the bottom of the wing.
Once it pops lever it out from the bottom.
NOW dont be surprised if a tab breaks, especially if the plastic is cold......................but many RAI wearers have them as spare

ignore Mac these can be got out VERY easy without breaking the tabs
stick the blade of a plastic spatula under the bottom edge of the vent and use it to lever the vent upwards slightly as you're pulling the bottom of the vent up/out with your fingers through - do one end then the other - comes out easy with no fuss Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

You were TOLD to ignore me
I think its cos when SN's D3 is in access mode he still cannot reach the vent DG's way
Both ways work well, I only mentioned the way I saw mine being done, and at least yours is off
