Replaced Turbo Poll
OK, pls only for those that have had the turbo replaced (sorry just one entry per player esp for the car on its 3rd turbo). Idea is to see if there ia any correlation between remaped/not remapped and turbos going. Please no votes where new turbo fitted with new engine.

I think there is already a post from some time ago with this already , but I still added mine .
And should we start a post for failure of the reconditioned turbos' LR fit under warranty..........

No survey like this splitting down MY & remapped or not. Interesting results so far but keep em coming!

Surely you also need a "not replaced" category as a comparator?
I've often wondered if autos are more prone to Turbo 'failure' than manuals, as it's easier to work the engine hard (and hence cause the turbo vanes to move over their full range more often) with a manual than it is with an auto. I think Disco Mikey posted a while back with a recommendation to run it at full throttle in a high gear for x seconds every so often, to force the turbo over its full range of vane movement - easy to do in a manuaul but you'd have to conciously forceit to happen with an auto. With more autos than manuals it will be difficult to get a true representation in a poll like this though.Previously:

Same here, c'mon peeps (if you qualify that is!!). Was thinking re "not failed" choice but would need to set up mirror of above poll BT for those that are not in CFT! Mind you that would give an indication of remapped vs standard. Ignoring manual vs autos as so few manuals and it would complicate things too much.
