Replacement Engine

Not me - yet......

Just wondering, though - in the event of needing an engine replacement (I’ve got an MY10 D4), can a Euro6 engine be used? Think my current one is Euro 4 (5 at best).

I’m hoping I never need to find out the hard way, just curious.

Yes, but all the ancillaries would need changing over, the emission category would have to stay with the original engine, regardless of what engine is fitted after manufacture.

No, afraid not it stays in the same category as it came out of the factory, plus side of this if you put a bigger engine in it still stays the same.
