Replacement Key
Is there a forum member/supporter I can give my money to for a complete new key rather than going to a LR dealer?

Thanks I need the whole thing one way of another - I already got a cheapo replacement from China and I have the blade from my old spare (the electronics are totally ruined) but I don’t know anywhere to get it programmed. The specialist who works on my car couldn’t help - they said “they’re only £150 from Land Rover” I don’t mind starting from scratch but I would rather pay someone on here than a LR dealer.

Hi,
As far as I understand it you will need someone with an IID pro tool as the key programming is VIN locked.
The other option is buy an IID (£405) or find a friendly forum member and pay to add an additional VIN to their unit (£60+beer).
Regards
Chris

Thanks all - the trail seems to have gone dead - it looks as if I can buy an IID for £405 or a Nanocomm for £500+ (which I accept have other uses) or pay a LR dealer for a new key.
I am not sure I want/need the IID etc
No-one on here wants to take my money instead (not intended as a moan/criticism - just reality).
