Replacing blown subwoofer |
|
My sub has blown and needs replacing, any idea how to remove the lower tailgate interior trim to get at it?
The carpeted bit seems to pop out of it's clips but the trim that runs across the top (incorporates the release button) won't budge and I don't want to do my usual trick of forcing and breaking it.
Any help appreciated 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

With a little understanding
Some people get by
With a whole lot more

I listen to all sorts and not at high volumes, the sub is just flapping and crackling so maybe has had water ingress. Expect it will be expensive to replace 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

CFB, did you ever find out how to get in to this part of the car? I'm staring at the trim at the moment, scratching my head and wonder HTF you get in there I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Sorted I've taken some pictures and will post them during the week. Wasn't that the subwoofer wasn't working, it was an annoying rattle. Turned out one of the T30 torx bolts was loose.
As for real music not going "boom", may I refer the learned gentleman to AC/DC "For those about to rock" I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
