Goodyear Wrangler Adventures OR Yokohama Geolanders OR General Grabber AT3's
Which is it to be?
I have the Goodyear on my RRS at the moment. It's a decent tyre. Handles well on road albeit a little bit more prone to lightness in heavy water on the motorway than some tyres I've used. Only used it lightly off road and had no issues. Haven't tried it in snow but it is winter rated (except for some sizes e.g. 255/55/19 for some reason) so would expect it to work well enough. A decent tyre for general all round use, I'd say.
I have used the Grabber AT3 on my RRS too. Again, a good all round tyre. I think it a better tyre on road than the Goodyear, certainly better aquaplaning resistance than the Goodyear (never felt the slightly light steering in heavy rain on the motorway). Worked well off road including the Strata Florida and tooling around at Les Comes in Spain. Did pick up some sidewall scoring on the Strata but they were getting near to being ready to be renewed so wasn't as annoying as it would have been with a newly fitted tyre. Worked well enough in snow (winter rated in 255/55/19 size).
Haven't tried the Geolander.
If I could, I'd have the Pirelli AT+ again but sadly availability in the UK is pretty rubbish. Otherwise, I'm currently wondering whether to go back to the AT3 when I replace the current set of Goodyears. I'd be happy enough with either, frankly. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
