Looking good mate ! D day is tomorrow for me. Taking my dad and dad in law for breakfast and then going to split her in half,

Question....

Can someone explain what the difference is between underbody shultz, waxoil and stone chip ? I have several cans of each laying around (previous projects etc) just wondering what to use where, reason I’m asking is you’ve said you’ve painted the new arms with dinitrol. But which one and why ?

Haha they will be there as jafo’s. Laughing

No worries ref the waxoil. I just had a nose and saw how much I have kicking about and though I may as well use what I’ve got.
Sure I read someone says use an old electric kettle to warm waxoil up....

Looking under The flying lemon the rust isn’t bad. Just some surface rust here and there. I thought give those areas a go with a wire cup brush on a grinder prime with zinc rich rattle can and then coat with what ever one (I’m guessing shutz or underbody seal) hopefully someone will let us know...

For inside of the chassis , ML

https://www.dinitroldirect.com/product/din...-proofing/

Outside and body 4941

https://www.dinitroldirect.com/product/din...g-chassis/

Think it was 3 x 1 litre cans for inside the chassis and 4 x 1 x litre cans for outside

They do full kits and we’re all applied using an air compressor

Took about 3-4 days to fully harden and very pleased Thumbs Up

It was indeed just flaking paint and surface rust , everything was solid and no holes ,

Have read ref the sills, where mud collects it can create an area to keep an eye on as a water trap , as I removed my inner wheel arch liners and cleaned them out and sprayed more dinitrol there as well

If I had the money I would have the chassis shot blasted and dipped

U was just taking ur time in forward planning Whistle

Been looking for camber angle as when I install the rear upper wishbone want to get it near as possible until I can get all re aligned

Have got a digital angle finder and wondering if I place it on the disc vertically, jack the bottom wishbone up so it’s 485mm from the centre of the wheel to the bottom of the wheel arch then tighten all the bolts up

Maybe locking off the camber bolt angle to zero degrees ....

Should be able to get the torque wrench on the front and camber bolt but the other bolt think FT will be in order

As it’s the dreaded mot on the 20th don’t want any warning lights coming up
