Congratulations. I can't say I'm not envious!I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Get on and Get out, it’ll be the best decision you’ve ever made.
Your time is your own, you do as you want leaving you all the time to get on with your hobbies and playing with your toys.
Although I’m still doing a bit of my own business work (from home), but strictly on my own basis.
And the very few hours I put in gives me a decent return for my efforts.
So perhaps maybe look at doing some consultancy work (if that’s appropriate to your remit).
But key thing is enjoy, your life starts here!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

A couple of years ago I’d have been saying get out there and see the world, get ticking off those travel bucket list items. That will have to wait a good while.

Well earned and enjoy
My goal is to retire at 50 which is only 4 years away now
🤞🏻I make it to the finish line and have a nice few years left to do what I want
I know what can happen when you make plans though

Enjoy. I very nearly jumped (on the back of 30 years service) last summer aged 55 but my finances wouldn't quite give me that 'do not need to work again' option, so I hung on. And now I've invested in a New Defender that decision will need to be put off for 4 years...Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Congratulations.
That puts you & me at a similar then.
Reading through your post made me feel more than a little envious, but I am working towards slowing down, currently doing a 4 day week most weeks, with plans to reduce that again in the next 12 or 18 months.

I finished work at the end of Jan at 62 after working since I was 17. This last 2 months has been great, just doing what I want when I want. So congrats and enjoy 😉👍

Congratulations 👏. Did it myself 2.5 years ago and can honestly say it’s the best thing I ever did, especially with what’s happened this past year.
You will probably need a project. I can recommend rebuilding a Land Rover to start with.

Congratulations, enjoy the time to do the things you always wanted to, and shun those you didn't.
Remember how you felt on the day you finished school? If it was anything like how I felt I know how you feel today. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
