It can proberly be done ( although i dont belive by any one on here yet ) . There is just the matter of the wiring loom , dashboard is different ( although you can proberly cut out the bit for the screen) , MOST cables (fiber optics) , Gvif cable , DVD module under the seat , proberly enabling the thing to join the MOST system ..to name but a few .
Personally ..i wouldn't bother and i have done a few things electrically to my car G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Ive seen on a freelander 2 they fit a Kenwood 7220 headunit with Garmin Navi built in
I had a Kenwood 7200 in another car and the navi was very good along with all the other functions,DVD,Radio,CD,TV etc.

Opps ..must of misread ..i was thinking he wanted to fit the original LR screen / dvd into an S model
