If you could that would be great. So does this fix the problem where when I use my turn signal the drl and turn signal light up and flash at the same time... ie the drl does not dim or go out when the turn signal is on like it is supposed to do on original stock models.

Your drl light should not flash
Mine used to just stay at full brightness when indicator was on
Now while the indicators are on it dimms until 2 seconds after indicator is cancelledDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Yes - I would love to do this. What all is involved. Is there a write up? I’ve never done anything very involved with wiring / electrical.

No resistor wouldn’t work as the indicators are flashing
A time delay relay that stays on after the signal line is removed for 2 seconds so allows enough time to stay energised while the flashing is taking place
James - Do you have a write up on how to do this? I would like to but I don't have much electrical experience. How involved is it?

I will do a write up later on this but it don’t do as I expected it won’t dim the drl
As both left and right are connected together it dims both sides with the indicator
So I have no done it as most other cars do and turns off the one side while indicator is onDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Hi James,
Thank you for sharing this knowledge here!
I have a 2010 D4 and I fitted the facelift headlights this week. Next step is to have the Indicators work the same as you have on your car. I have bought a pair of the exact same relays on Amazon.
I had a look at your picture and drawing. I understand most of it. But I am a bit scared of cutting cables as I'm not experienced with these kinds of things. So I want to be sure where you placed the relay. Did you cut the cable just behind the headlight? And How did you seal it? I take it that the relay should be clean and dry at all times?
Sorry for all the questions... I hope you can tell me more. Thank you!

I had put the relays in where the brake servo is (the place where the battery would go on a left hand drive )
I cut the wire and solderd and used head sink tubing and the car new wires to them and run them up to where relay is goingDisco 3 gone but not forGotten
