Is there a reverse cam available that is useful for hitching up a trailer? Some of the aftermarket cameras available online do not seem to show the tow ball, which to me is pointless for avoiding contact with the rear bumper. Any recommendations on which one to go for?

Whilst they don't actually show the tow ball when you have used it 3/4 times you can get within 1" of the ball consistently by lowering the suspention. I assume you mean the type that fits in the number plate. I have seen one advertised by hids4u that fits inside the car near the rear interior light that gives a very good view. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
