Reverse mirror dip disappeared |
|
After picking up my 2005 HSE from the service I noticed that all the settings has been resetted. I did set everything as I like (again) but now it seems that the reverse mirror dip is not working.
- Yes it is set ON from the settings menu
- I have tried to toggle it ON/OFF a few times as well as the Lazy entry setting
- I've tried to set it as instructed in the manual at least seven times
- It also seems that it does not store the mirrors properly at all
Any quick fixes or resetting that i just do not know. And yes I could take it back to the LR Service but it takes time (again) and i am pretty sure that they know less that members in this forum....
Thanks in advance!

it is key sensitive. Could this be the problem? different settings for each key? - probably not a lot of help, but I have just come back from the pub! *hic*

Thanks (especially after pub...) but it is probably not that. The mirrors are not moving at all when put on reverse. According to the manual they should move at least to the factory set position that should then be customised.
Anyone?

Do they still move when you want them adjusted with the joystick?
If not it could be a fuse. Roel

Yes they do move from the joystick and can be adjusted but the settings cannot be stored. It seems that the memory function does not control the mirrors currently at all as they do not adjust even to normal driving mode.

Had the same problem after setting to "off" and then back "on" for some reason on my MY08 HSE.
Taking out the key, locking and unlocking has cured the problem for me, if you haven't already give it a go...

Thanks but I've tried to set the mirrors for two days now and in between taken out the key and locked the doors. So apparently does not work for me.
Definitely annoying...

Hmmmm... at the risk of asking the obvious, you have set them to different angles while in reverse?
Is "lazy entry" enabled?

I've tried to set them to different angles, stored the setting and info center informs that "mirror dip stored". After that shifting to D the mirrors do not return to normal driving mode and they need to be manually adjusted. Also they do not dip to stored position when shifted on R.
Lazy entry is on.
The answer may very well be obvious. I just do not get it...

It may be that the dealer "accidentally" disabled the feature on the car while resetting... Sorry, run out of possible options... A trip back may not be avoidable.
Sorry couldn't help more

The only way I've ever managed to programme them successfully is to try and programme them from just after the car has woken from sleep (ie, it's been left long enough for the clock on the dash to switch off), nut before starting the engine. You could try that. 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +
