Hi all
I’m thinking of replacing the factory reverse sensors with some eBay ones and wiring up a cheap set instead of spending time repairing the loom damage.
But the original one still beeps fir some reason once and I don’t want two clashing beeps
So I’m wondering can I shut the original one up? Like pull a fuse maybe? Then just have a new simple one in the old holes.

It’s easy enough to replace the original loom. Granted it’s fiddly figuring out how to take the bumper off and on.

Cmb2020, ditto above, you’re better off replacing the loom, as you’ll still have the front sensors either out of action or in need of replacing if you go the cheep eBay route.
I’ve used these guys for a few things https://www.gentlemenofsalvage.co.uk/, prices aren’t bad and quick delivery, they look like they have a couple in stock, £40 so no more expensive than eBay cheep

cmb2020. I've replaced parking sensors on my one about 6years ago. Original parking module packed up and I believe some of the original sensors as well. I bought cheap (£15) sensors on ebay and replaced the original bits.
Pretty straight forward job - disconnect original sensors from Parking module in your boot, take rear bumper off to remove all wires and install new sensors. My ones fit into original holes without any issues. 8) I've run all wires the same way as original and connected to rear lamp. All working well with beep, beep, beep.... from boot The only disadvantage is - I can't switch it off on dashboard panel if anything sits on towbar
