Reversing camera
I’ve just bought a 2013 D4 XS spec and wanted recommendations on who to get to fit a reversing camera and what kit to get. I live in south Oxfordshire.
Thanks

The only tip I have is that the camera should have a Sony lens. Which virtual all of the quality ones will have anyway.
I can recommend an installer in Bristol.
Good luck. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I am trying to do this to my commercial at the moment and I am a bit confused with part numbers and specifically the number of pins on older and newer genuine cameras. Can anyone help me please? Ideally, I want to fit the latest genuine camera as the camera on my 2016 graphite is great.

So I have retro fitted everything I can to my 2014 commercial…. Heated seats, wheel, apple car play etc etc… all the while keeping the oem look.
The camera however, I gave up on. I have an IID tool so it was the obvious thing to get the kit plug it in and turn it on. Even second hand dealers wanted more than the heated wheel to get the loom, camera etc.
The fitting of it is not easy as the rear number plate light housing has to be removed and then there is the issue of the camera being useless in the wet weather due to being covered in crud.
This is what I did in the end. Utilises the rear view mirror so it’s more intuitive than looking downwards at the dash screen. It has a brilliant rear view which can be left on whilst driving if required, great when towing and has the bonus of front and rear dash cams all built in.
Loads of other functions that you may or may not use…. But it looks totally stock, works brilliantly, is 200 quid and an easy diy install.
My camera lives inside the car high up…. It can see the tow ball and down the road and can be adjusted from the front touchscreen and I never need to clean it. A quick rear wiper and it’s perfect.
Worth a look…. Particularly if you don’t have cameras…… they also do this without dashcams if you on;y want rear/front camsA mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

Did mine myself. Used genuine new and used parts and was easy enough to do.

I'd get MiD Engineering at Wantage to do that if you aren't wanting to do it yourself.
