I have just noticed that the image shown on the screen from the reversing camera is reversed - ie a number plate canot be read but is mirrored
Is this how it should be?
I cannot recall it being like this (before it went in for it's recent "recall" update).........
Thanks

It should have always been mirrored, so you get the same view in your screen as you do in the rear view mirror.

Mine has lost the yellow guide lines & the image is reversed, ie left hand side of road appears on right side of screen so been to dealers.
Yes sir we have the parts & will only take an hour & half.
Sorry sir can you bring it back again next week as it appears to have a problem
Due in on tuesday of next week, another wasted journey?

Aving a laugh – swmbo took it back again today, waited over an hour then told by reception that they had fitted the new part but could not initialise it as the computer was in use all day for recalls . So she rang me at work for advice!
I rang service Mgr who investigated further then rang me back with the truth – part ordered was wrong by one digit so nothing was fitted & receptionist was (lets say) fibbing .
Anyway the long & short of it is can we take it back in tomorrow, 40 miles round trip x 3 surely they will need to pay for the tyres soon.
Tomorrow night I will update you further, but sincerely hope that it is fixed by then.

Chopdogs,
I'm guessing from fault that you have the stand-alone reversing camera?
If so......1.5 hours to fit?? Just so you know I replaced mine this evening and it took me about 7 minutes....and that was because I couldn't find my toolbox.
Also I don't think there could be anything to initialise as there is no communications with the camera.
Obviously if you have the surround option, then ignore everything I've said 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Mines stand alone.
From your post it shows that the term 'fibbing' used by the receptionist may be a bit understated.
Thanks for the info, I'll sure pass it on the the Service Mgr next time I ring

Well they made swmbo wait for 90minutes then said that the repairs were finished.
New camera fitted & working
The service manager was a professional gentleman & has worked to make & correct the problem - so I will not critisize, at the end of the day the repair has been completed.
Also put some diesel in the tank & 2 golf umbrellas on the back seat - I don't play golf but will accept the gesture
