Ride height info
Hello lovely people.
After being away from the forum and discos for two years, I’ve rejoined the gang and picked up a D4 the other day.
I think it’s to high at the back. And I’ve tried to assess the ‘ride height’ section in wiki but it won’t let n access it. Can someone help with access or provide a copy of what they should be.
Thanks in advance.
Gregor

Welcome back!
You can measure it manually using a measuring tape if you don't have the tool.
With a full fuel tank and empty boot park on a level surface (car park is ideal)
Exit the vehicle leaving it running but closing the doors, and let it sit for about 2 mins until the suspension has settled.
From the centre of the rear wheel to the lower lip of the wheel arch should be 485 mm
and the front should be 466 mm.
If you are going to be doing maintenance yourself get hold of a GAP IID bt diagnostic tool, or similar dedicated LR tool which will allow you to do most if not all maintenance yourself.
It will save you lots of your dosh perhaps even in the short term too!!
Best of luck with your new purchase yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

What does VIN-locked mean for the IIDTool non-Pro? That it works on only one VIN?

You can add additional Vins (by paying a fee after the first vehicle) but the unit allows all functions on the vehicle it is vin locked to and can be used to read and clear faults on others, but not modify ccf etc.Must stop buying shiny toys....
