Grantowns, prices have been drifting up & up so we don't go there often. SWMBO's a bit crook & cooking is not one of my strong points so was being lazy. Not worth the extra £5 in fuel to go to Aviemore, plus they would be stone cold by the time I get back. Sad

road tax

Who makes the D4 engine, and if it is fitted in the Jaguar, what is the road tax for the Jag
Do BMW make their own engines?
Cheers

It's the same Ford engine in the Jag with a few minor modifications but as it only throws out 169gm\km the tax is only £170. It's a weight thing as has already been said.

I'm pretty sure BMW make their own engines Smile

And bootifully they are too. Mr. Green

ISTR the Jag that Clarkson drove from Zurich to Blackpool was basically the same 2.7 lump as the D3 and got ridiculously high mpg. But then it doesn't have the aerodynamics of a small house, isn't trying to turn all he wheels, hasn't got a ladder chassis as well as a bodyshell and is probably not far off half the weight. You don't buy a D3 to admire the fuel economy, someone's got to keep the planet toastie. Smile

 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Gave it a miss, was up at the top end of Harbour road and couldn't be bothered walking into town or getting parked. Now had there been one on the A9 I'd have been all over it. Thumbs Up
