Will do an update on all the warrenty work that was done and my opinion of the supplying garage and it's back up over the coming few days. I also had some other bits done whilst at Broadfields at my cost.
First impressions are, the new TC difference, is as expected, night and day. Though I only had a couple of hundred miles before it started playing up so never really experienced it how it should be.
Air suspension sorted and rides nice, though I felt there was a bit more body roll than I would have expected on high speed corners. Will look at ARBs. To be fair it was high speed on the dual carriageway roads. I have nothing to compare with so this might be subjective.
MPG.
On the way up at a steady 2000 rpm which is mid 70mph ish. I saw 25.6 on the screen.
On the way back at a less than steady 2650 rpm I saw 25.1 mpg.
So I guess that is an improvement.
However, I have to say that was a very enjoyable 625 mile journey. One of the best I have had in the last 10 years. At the moment I really get the LR thing.
However we all know that it can change with the next problem
I did wonder how the RES or FFRR could be more comfortable, look forward to trying one out next year.An honorable defeat is better than a dishonorable victory.” ― Millard Fillmore

The whole trip averaged 75mph. Including one stop for fuel and coffe and one coffee and pee break, paying tolls and single lane roads.
So 25 mpg (more like a true 22) was pretty good. Been lethargic today though An honorable defeat is better than a dishonorable victory.” ― Millard Fillmore

I thought I would finish this thread with my feelings on the dealer that supplied my D3.
I have taken a bit of time to reflect and not over react, so as to give a fair review.
The dealer was Kiteley Motors.
The car was a bit higher priced than some of the others but I went with them because of the Autotrader feedback.
Conculsion
Communication could have been better but the guy that looks after the prep of cars once sold seems to be overworked.
There was some b t about the aircon.
However, I did get a bit frustrated with them and let of a bit of steam that with hindsight was probably not the right thing to do.
They fixed pre delivery.
leaking aircon pipes and changed the belts.
Warranty work included.
New TC
New compressor
New drivers door lock
New tailgate microswitch.
All of the above cost them 2200. I paid 150 towards the compressor because they wanted to use a cheap ebay one.
To conclude I think they supported the car and probably didn't make that much out of the sale.
Would I buy off them again?
Probably but I would give the car more of a going over.
I would give them a 3 to 4 star out 5 rating. An honorable defeat is better than a dishonorable victory.” ― Millard Fillmore
