Robbie : what tool did you use to get the rust of with, and that stool has got to be on my next shopping list not your stool of course but much appreciated if you could point me in the right direction Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

The stool is just one of those cheapo things from Machine Mart, but the same sort of thing is available from numerous places.
To remove the rust I used scotchbrite roloc pads on a Bosch cut-off tool - a tremendous little thing. I used red scotchbrite to smooth-down the iron casting and blue to blend down the paint on the hub mating surfaces. Quick and easy - you can see it on the tool trolley:

It's one of these, but I have modified one of mine to take rolocs. The small size makes it easier to get into spaces that are too small for my die grinder.
