cheers. So I took it out and it was fine for about 10 minutes and then the p0003 code came up again, no others for the engine. Also with it were the "F" and three amigos and suspension drop. So almost back to square one. Do you know if the FVCV is replaceable or part of the pump?

What live data should I be looking at? I have an icarsoft i930 so its a basic reader and no option to output graphs but could take readings from the live data

You can clear the code but it comes back after a very short while

It does sound like a faulty VCV, especially if the fuse had previously blown.

Siemens/VDO say the pumps are not serviceable DIY, but there are PCV and VCV's available from the likes of PF Jones and perhaps elsewhere.

I've never fitted them, or even a recon pump due to the time involved if it doesn't work out!
For this reason I only advocate new pumps, expensive but like everything I suppose you takes your chances.

Just make sure it's not a wiring issue before you fire the parts cannon. Thumbs Up
