How did you route the wires from the light bar to the inside of the car? Is the whole rig permanent, or is it easy to take off? 2006 Zermatt Silver TDV6 'SE' Auto, Mantec sump guard, Frontrunner roofrack, Lightforce 140s, split charge system and... a Jetboil.

That Frontrunner rack looks fantastic, AndrewS! Not much info on their website, though... Anyone know if they are available in Oz?
The rack I have is a FrontRunner. They are marketed in Australia by Opposite Lock as the 'Rackmaster".
Same rack from same factory in South Africa, just renamed for the Oz market.Have a nice day!

Thanks Jamo! I think I now remember you (or someone else?) mentioning this in another post, but I just didn't associate it with AndrewS' pictures...
It cost me about $1,500 and I installed it myself.
It's a pretty simple job to put on as it's designed to go into the captive nut system in the roof.
It's good it you've got a mate to help cause it's too heavy for one person to lift onto the roof without damaging paint work. I didn't have anyone available, so I raised it into the roof of my shed and then lowered it onto the car.
Go to www.oppositelock.com.au and search rackmaster. There are a couple of different lengths.Have a nice day!

I made the side rails and light bar, I used 3/4" ally tube and got it all powder coated.

All the cables are routed to the front corner of the rack where the raised air intake is. I cut a slotted hole in the top of the window trim and fed the cables underneath the trim to the second battery compartment.
It would be as easy to remove as the standard L R expo rack. Obviously a new window trim will be needed.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
