Roof Tent
Just purchased a new Howling Moon tent and had our first weekend away with it. Went to the LR show at Bath & West showground. Problem was, on the club stand we had the D3 facing the offroad cse and the tent off the driver side of the car. But it wasn't completely level. The opening was very slightly higher than the rest of the tent. The slope didn't bother me but SWMBO didn't sleep to well being head down so to speak. But she said she would rather that than sleep the other way round. ie body over the awning side and feet on top the car so to speak.
So after all that rambling the question is What do you do when you can't get it completely level. Do you sleep head down or head up and body over the awning?HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

i dont have that problem
I normally manage to get the caravan perfectly level
Do they do roof tents with ensuite bathrooms?, if they did then my case to MrsDiscoDunc would get stronger
In a normal tent i sleep with head at the top of the slope Duncan

Yeah yeah yeah. Done the caravan thing before, then grew up . Went through all sorts of ground tents. Curremtly have about 5 . So the only thing left to try was a RTT.
So the current thinking is not to sleep over the open area then. Feels strange having my feet towards the door though. It's just wrong. I can't get out fast enough.HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

My main concern was the weight over the open area, ie not supported by the roof of the carHONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

There wont be any problem it wont let you down if you know what i mean well strong as long as it is fastened to the roof okHome of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication [email protected] D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

this MAY be completely wrong BUT...
could you not select "off road height".. then "rock crawl" on TR.... manual says it levels the car as much as possible??
have noticed in rock crawl is stays way more level and less rolling then in other modes....one wife.......livid
