When considering aftermarket additions to your vehicle try to work out YOUR NEEDS now and in the foreseeable future.
Also if buying aftermarket equipment from more then one manufacturer are they compatible with each other?
Will the roof tent of your choice work with the roof rack/bars of your choice? Some roof tent brackets will not fit some roof bars! Means altering fixings or drilling roof bar. Will your roof tent open on your chosen rack? Could have problems with luggage rail or even catches not opening properly.
Will your roof tent be compatible with your proposed awning?
Consider your needs first and foremost, look at your budget, then ensure that all the components you need/want work together. Otherwise it could be an expensive mistake.
If you see another vehicle with the combination you want, talk to its owner so you get an independent opinion. I suppose what I am saying is do YOUR research thoroughly first before parting with your cash!
