Some major reforms are needed, particularly to the huge number of minor royals we support via the Sovereign Grant, which is designed to camouflage who gets what.
Just take Prince Edward, he lives at Bagshott Park. 120 roomed mansion. His Mrs took 3 helicopter trips, total 87 miles, cost £3k plus when she could have easily gone by car.
That’s just a microcosm of what it’s like. You simply can’t justify that sort of extravagance because you are born into it when millions of your subjects can’t heat or feed themselves. It completely amoral and will author their own destruction.

They have more than just the Sovereign Grant to live off, don't forget. That goes to cover the expense of the Monarch, not the person of the Queen.
HMQ has her own wealth (from two estates at Sandringham and Balmoral, for example) and then there is the income from the Duchy of Lancaster which is what actually get used by the Royals to fund the minor mob like Edward, and all of their other bits and bobs.
The Sovereign Grant is audited by the National Audit Office and the Public Accounts Committee.
It's also worth remembering that the Queen pays tax on her private income and capital gains tax too, and has done since the early 1990s.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

The irony of decrying slavery "back in the day" is that he country as a whole benefitted, which means we have all benefitted from it in one way or another. Even those that would seek political traction from such things.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

What seems to be forgotten whilst the black brethren were toiling in terrible conditions the white brothers and sisters were toiling in equally abhorrent conditions, satanic mills, children up chimneys, down coal mines etc. Once heard someone state at least the slaves on plantations had “commercial value” whereas the unfortunates here had none. The whole episode brings credit to no one.Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.
