Advice please - I stupidly traded in my TD5 03 plate at 130,000 miles as it was starting to cost me a lot of cash in terms of garage bills. I bought three weeks ago a 2ltre Mondeo hatch and HATE IT!!!! I can't beleive what an idiot I've been, head ruled heart - what a mistake. Anyway I have the chance to redeem the situation by purchasing a Disco 3 2006 at 89,000 miles for about what I paid for the Mondeo. Is this a good move or should I downgrade to a Disco 2 at 69,000 04 plate. What...

view forum post
_________________
Peter McD
We have a pretty flat driveway, but if my good lady parks in the street on a very shallow kerb, I haven't noticed the car trying to self-level.

We parked on a high kerb on an uphill section the other night though whilst visiting family, and came back to find the car had performed a fine job of squaring itself up. Gday...

Please read the following I have pinched from another forum (non-Lr) -

"the advice you gave in your post (above) is 100% contradictory to what I was advised, by Land Rover Australia, to do when towing with an automatic Disco 3.

I specifically contacted them when I purchased my vehicle because I had heard many stories of "blown" auto trannies in all makes of vehicle.

Land Rover's advice is as simple...

view forum post
_________________
Actively occupied in retirement
However I have discovered that the new disco 4 HSE does not come with a cooler fridge between the seats as it the current case with the Disco 3 HSE.

Has anyone managed to fit a cooler in the box in the Disco 4 ? any help would be appreciated or direct.

	Hi all,

without searching too hard through the (Bible) Forum..

The brake pad sensors just come in with the warning light, how many miles do i have to safely travel now. Especially as its Bank hols and need vehicle, had a quick look they still have 5mm im sure. Looks like even wear front/rear.
PS clocked 33500mls on the original pads.

	Hi all,

My brother, a fellow disco 3 owner is currently stuck without internet in Normandy and his brake pad warning light has just come on, as it does....! However it is accompanied by a constant audible alarm beeping intermittantly, rather than just when you turn the ignition on. Any ideas how the audible alarm can be silenced?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks
BUT
Looks like the very best we are going to get replacement wise is a Zafira. LRA say that because we bought 2nd hand we are only intitled to something (normal) up to 2litre and only until Tuesday am.

The car was booked in with the dealer anyway for Wednesday with a Defender being...

view forum post
Unfortunately my reverse parking skills failed me during an attempt to park outside our holiday cottage last week resulting in a large dent in the front passenger door (shortly followed by immediate pain in the wallet) .

Has anyone had any success with "Dentmaster" type franchises, or is this a complete non-starter on a D3?
