Evening all!
<br />
<br />
Can I check my understanding of a few things please….
<br />
<br />
Is ‘key less entry’ the proximity thing? As in keys in my pocket and if I’m next to the car I can open the door?
<br />
So is it worth turning off from a security point of view?
<br />
<br />
Next question…
<br />
Anyone heard of/ used this product as a ‘signal jammer when the key is dormant’?

The D4 (2013 Commercial Diesel) battery is starting to fail.. the usual glow plug light in and clock loosing track if time .
<br />
Testing the battery it is ripe for replacement with 28% SOH!
<br />
Its an original JLR AGM battery that is currently fitted.
<br />
<br />
So the question is...
<br />
Do i fit another AGM or go with a Calcium one?
<br />
<br />
And i assume a BMS reset with the IID in either case would be prudent?<br /><br /><a href="https://disco4.com/forum/post2364050.html?#2364050">view forum post</a><br />_________________<br />1 TR6 Rusting away quietly

Hello Everyone!
<br />
<br />
Im on my knees begging here as I’ve spent far too long today searching for where the camshaft position sensor is on my Disco 4 SDV6.
<br />
<br />
History First- Had it over a year and one day it tried to start and then stopped and then wouldn’t start. Figured out it was the engine earth so fixed that. Now it cranks but just wont fire, reading the fault code and other places, it might be to do with the camshaft position sensor.
<br />
<br />
So...<br /><br /><a href="https://disco4.com/forum/post2363928.html?#2363928">view forum post</a></span><br />

Hi!
<br />
My D4 suddenly shut engine off and ignition stays on. It started yesterday and i got fault p065a-00 with my IID tool. Generator system fail.

Replaced the alternator but same problem today.

No faults today, and it starts fine every time it stops.

Hi, I have the OBD2 port loose at the minute while I tighten up the contacts.
<br />
<br />
It got me thinking, could I cut one of the wires and put in a micro switch, thereby making it inoperable unless you know where the secret switch is. Which wire would be the one to cut?
<br />
<br />
<br />
I think a D4 is not so desirable these days as the current flock are so easy to steal. But a belt and braces never harmed anyone.

I got a discovery 4 2010, its been great but recently its been going into limp mode on cold starts, if I put it under stress within the first 10 mins or so of driving, I get a big puff of smoke out of the exhaust at the back and the car loses oil slowly over time so I plugged in my code reader and got the following codes (see images), first is P006A-00 "Manifold absolute pressure - mass or volume air flow correlation", the second is P1247-00...<br /><br /><a href="https://disco4.com/forum/post2363698.html?#2363698">view forum post</a></span><br />

I know this topic has come up before in threads about the cold interior in D4s, but I’ve not seen anyone say if there’s a fix to this specific issue:
<br />
<br />
On the dash the external temperature reading is too high and therefore affects the climate control system wizardry.
<br />
<br />
This morning we had near freezing fog. BBC weather app and my Alexa tell me it’s 3 degrees when setting off. My car is telling me it’s 10 degrees.
<br />
<br />
So, is this a fault...<br /><br /><a href="https://disco4.com/forum/post2363680.html?#2363680">view forum post</a><br />_________________<br />1998 Defender 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF
