Running boards
Hello all,
I've just bought a disco 3 and I need to replace the running boards. I've had a quick look through the forum and cannot find a recommendation. I was looking at the Predator 4x4 ones and don't know if they're any good. Please can you advise.

Unless you have a real need for them, I’d just replace them with uncut sill covers and do without. Use access height for those who have difficulty entering or exiting the vehicle.
Fingers crossed that the sills won’t be too rusty, but sidesteps do seem to accelerate the rust process.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Just replaced mine a few months back with a set from direct 4x4 for just over £100. So far so good.
I’d take them off but elderly relative can’t get in even with access height.
Removing the old rusty ones was an angle grinder job and not fun.

Thank you all for your input, for the time being, I'm going to remove and properly underseal the area. I don't want to increase the speed in which the sills corrode and don't have a real need for side steps anyway. 2008 Discovery 3 HSE (August 2024 - Present) - 206,000+

If they are the ProSpeed ones (which is what they look like) then they will fit both D3 & D4.. great piece of kit but very heavy!I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
