After nearly 3 years of ownership I am selling my Disco, as my new commute will need a more economical vehicle.
Although this is a commercial (and has the lower road tax) it was purchased privately and so there is no VAT payable on the price.
I originally bought the Disco for occasional green laning, although it has (as expected) proved the vehicle of choice for so much more – regular commutes, carting various large items around and just trips to the supermarket.
It has been on a couple of off-road trips – one to the Spanish Pyrenees and one to Yorkshire and the Lake District. On both occasions I have had the car inspected beforehand - and on its return - and any remedial work carried out.
It has done 166k and has a full service history. In the time I have had it, I have had the following additional items completed:
2018
New windscreen
Front and rear discs and pads
Brake pipes
NSR upper arm replaced
New upper tailgate switch
New brake light switch
2019
NS Track rod end and inner joint
Rear wishbone rose joints
2020
Belts
EPB Serviced and replacement brake pipes
(This week!!) – new OEM propshaft
In addition, the previous owner had the EGR valves blanked and also mentioned the Oil Pump had been upgraded (although no receipt to fully validate)
The MOT is until July 2021, although I am happy to put 12 months on for any buyer. In terms of the advisories at the last MOT (rear tyre wear, track rod end and brake pipes), I have already had the brake pipes replaced when the EPB was serviced (per 2020 work mentioned above)
This is a commercial and has the divider and dog guard fitted as shown in the pictures. The seats are leather and it has a Harmon Kardon system as well as heated screen and folding mirrors.
The alloys are 20”and are shod with Pirelli Scorpions – one replaced in the last couple of months. The spare however is not 20”
It will also come with the Land Rover RAI, light guards (F&R) and the fixed heavy-duty tow bar.
In addition, the following are included in the price:
• Prospeed roof rack,
• Prospeed underbody protection. (covers the front and the gearbox – 2 parts).
• 6 additional 18’’ wheels with Kumho MT51 tyres (265/60). These are heavy duty and were ideal for both the off road trips I have done – going anywhere when coupled with the electronic locking diff! 1 of the tyres is unused, 4 have got around 2000 miles on them and the other has a cut on the side which was an MOT failure although would be fine as a spare for off-roading (in fact I drove the 10 hrs back to the ferry on it). See photo showing the damage.
• A set of tree sliders (not currently fitted – although I have all the stainless fixings for them)
At this stage I would prefer to sell as one package and will reconsider splitting out the individual items above if no takers for the complete deal.
In terms of other things to consider
• There is only 1 key – although have a new blank
• The aircon may need regassing
• There are several scratches and gorse rash from the off-roading (captured on some of the photos) – although most should polish out.
The NSF alloy has been kerbed and would benefit from refurbishing (picture included) although all others are in good condition.
The lacquer on the wing mirrors is peeling (photo included).
