[For Sale] 2008.5 Discovery 3 SE auto Grey ISSUES FIXED
2008 Grey with black leather 160,000 miles £5995 ONO

Owned by myself for 6 years, I bought the car with 129,000 on the clock and since then it has been maintained to the highest standard with the work being carried out either by myself or my local indy garage. No dents or dings, paintwork in excellent condition for age with just a couple of chips which have been touched in with a Chipex paint kit. Black plastic body parts have been maintained with a ceramic coating and remain looking fresh.
Initially given an oil service every six months I lately switched to yearly as I was only doing 5000 miles a year and the shorter interval seemed unnecessary & wasteful.
During my ownership the car has a full gearbox flush, the brake fluid has been changed twice, Diffs and transfer box oil changed twice. All filters and oil changed yearly. Regular turbo cleaner fuel additive, Power steering fluid change.
BAS Remap giving approx 30bhp and 90ft lb torque increase.
EGR valves blanked and BAS EGR Delete ECU update.
New Propshaft, suspension compressor, bonnet struts, new suspension struts/airbags x 4, FBH service and FBH remote kit (works off the 3rd button), DAB radio kit, Rear Upper Arms, Rear Upper Knuckle Joints, Steering Rack Ends & Track Rod Ends, + Hunter 4 Wheel Alignment carried out.
Front ARB Bushes and Drop Links Replaced, Silicone Intercooler hose (x 3) kit fitted.
The bodywork has been machine polished and ceramic coated and in 2020 the alloys were professionally stripped and powder coated. It has Xenon Headlamps fitted and CCF file edit for flicker free operation and a replacement upper boot release switch fitted. It has uprated V8 Front Discs, Caliper Carriers & new Pads. D4 airbag fitted as the old one had the curl at the top.
Maxxis 771 AT Tyres x 4 all round with even wear & plenty of tread left. RLD spare wheel protector and full size spare.
Last serviced Feb this year and MOT’d until July 2023.
This car is clean and original. The only visible change inside or out is the addition of smoked side repeaters. No sunroof to leak and the SE spec includes climate control, Logic 7 sound system, electric & heated memory leather seats in great condition, with armrests, heated screen. Rear privacy tinted glass & AutoDAB DABradio. The car has the RRS Nav screen update with reverse camera and 4x4 info.
2 working keys and folder full of invoices and receipts.
Cambelt was last changed in 2016 so is due to be redone next year.
Everything works apart from the CD player. See recent post detailing works just done.
Currently on a private plate and will be returned to the original reg shortly.
More pics to follow once I have had a chance to give the car a good clean. Selling due to incoming D4.
A great car car that I have enjoyed owning and maintaining.

Update: The car has been in to have the compressor issue fixed. This has resulted in a new compressor (replaced under warranty by the supplier). Whilst in the workshop I asked them to look at the rear wheel bearings and as a result those have been replaced and whilst it was in bits it seemed a good idea to fit new rear discs and pads.
As a result of all this work the car is now in absolute tip top condition, so any buyer can be confident that there are no nasty surprises coming in the near future!

Looks a really good deal to me. Kudos for having the problems identified and fixed. What's it like for chassis / sill corrosion do you know?

An impressive and reassuring service record. It should add value to the car, but in practice just makes it easier to sell at the upper end of market prices. A current D3 owner after an upgrade would be the ideal buyer to appreciate this one. Good luck with the sale.Chris
