[For Sale] 2016 (16) D4 Landmark

Looking to sell my D4 Landmark and would like it to go to a good home, its been my pride and joy for the last 3 and a bit years.

I've owned the car from new, it was bought from Hunters in Norwich and has been a joy to own and drive.

Car is finished in Indus Silver with Almond/Arabica Interior and has covered just under 30,000 miles.

Has the following options over and above the standard Landmark spec.

Auto High Beam Assist.
Front Cubby Box Fridge.
Factory Privacy Glass from B-Pillar Back.
Land Rover Seat Covers.
Full Seat of LR Rubber over mats including Boot.

It has a full LR Main Dealer Service History with all but one Service carried out by Barretts in Ashford and one by Guy Salmon Maidstone.

Car was MOT'd on 23 May 2019 and has recently been serviced on 1 July 2019, brake fluid change was done at this time as well.

Comes with LR 5 year Service Plan with 2 Services left, this is transferable to the next owner.

Its got 2 new Pirelli Scorpion Tyres on the back, the spare is brand new and has a RayPlate fitted.

Back seats have never been sat on and the fronts have had seat covers fitted from new, leather has been fed regularly. The headphones and remote for the RSE have never been used and still have the plastic on them.

Car is in excellent condition, the sides of the car are pin straight with no parking dents or scuffs on the bumpers.

Looking for £33,000 ono.

Here are the pictures, any questions, please send me a PM.

Thanks

Nice car; good luck with the sale.

The first couple of photographs don't do it any credit though !

Was the brake fluid change part of the service plan or did you pay for that separately? Reason I ask is mine is due in for its 36k service in 2 weeks under the service plan and they did not mention that Thumbs Up

Hi,

No unfortunately, it wasn't covered under the LR service plan, well it wasn't for me, the garage where I take it to are very straight up. It wasn't eye watering expensive, I think it was £68.

Word of caution to anyone looking to sell their late D4, after looking around at a lot of cars locally, the values aren't as strong as they once were, so if like me you're kicking around the idea of whether to sell or not, don't wait too long.

This is a cracking forum and thanks to everyone who has helped with their advice. I've thoroughly enjoyed my car and owning it and it genuinely hasn't put a foot wrong in my ownership and I'm going to miss it but while I'd like to replace it with another LR product, it won't be the visually challenged D5.

Thanks everyone Thumbs Up

Now there's the question, even if I could get my head around the exterior looks of the D5, the interior comfort is nowhere near as good as the D4, the nearest thing is an L405 but LR Dealers live on another planet, there's anything between £15-25k difference from dealer to dealer for similar cars, I guess some want to sell cars, others want to run a car museums.

So its a toss up between something ridiculous; Ford Raptor, Toyota LC Utility that I'm not bothered about where I park and save some money or wait until there's pre-reg L405's on the market around October and there usually is to keep the figures up after the 1st Sept.

I do not see how you say the interior comfort is no where near as good.
I find the interior comfort far superior to the D4 although the D4 was very comfortable

Its all down to personal experience, I'm 6ft 5 and the 2 D5's I've driven over a long distance, for me, weren't as comfortable as my D4 and the people in the back complained that the rear seat cushion wasn't as deep and that there wasn't as much under thigh support. I'm not the only member that doesn't like the D5, if you've bought a D5, that's your choice.

Much less space for your left foot as a driver in RHD and second row seats which are too low are the internal reasons I am not buying a D5 after 15 years of Land Rovers. Awaiting delivery of an XC90.

The headlining in the D5 is shaped so that I have to tilt my head to the left. The windscreen is also really close to my face. I’m a fag paper under 6ft7in, so those two issues are not going to be problem for the vast majority.

In the D3/4 you can stretch your left leg out on the gap between the brake pedal and the foot rest. That’s not possible in the D5.

I don’t like the high waistline and narrower windows either.

So for me, the seating/driving position in the D3/4 is far superior to the D5. Which is a shame. ☹️

It was covered on my 2014. My garage charged me - I had other work done - but I emailed them the terms and they refunded me. Service plans don’t pay garages as much so they are looking for ways of making up.
