Just put my new one in and I can now stop the engine
Before it would start with a light press but I had to push very hard to stop the engine.
Having striped down the old one it is simple to take it apart and clean the contacts and put it back together again.
The contacts are simply a circuit board with a rubber top hat piece above that is pushed down by the button to make a contact so as long as the button part is free to move it is worth having a go cleaning the contacts and the inside of the top hat piece.
I cant see any way the contacts can burn out so give it a go
As all ways have a replacement handy just in incase .Faultmate MSV-2
