[For Sale] Defender 110 hardtop
This is my sons car, he will make a donation to the site if sold here.
I have driven this and am not best suited to comment as I find them hateful things to drive
However the 2.4 Puma engine is strong and fairly smooth considering past experiences of driving these things. All the other awful 'foibles' are correct and present.......
As per one of the pics, taken from his advert, he bought this as a longer term plan to convert to a serious 'extreme camper' (they spent six months in the Balkans a few years back in their VW Crafter and it was a bit 'testing' of it's capabilities...) and hence getting it all properly sorted suspension and powertrain wise, you can see all the work he has carried out on it in the pics. Inside it has had new OE front seats and the rear remains a blank canvas (sides were boarded when he had it) as its been his 'van' fetching and carrying all the things needed to fit out his narrow boat he's built.
Body wise it's all solid, he replaced the rear door that was rotten but bulkhead, sills, doors, etc. solid. It's a little bit 'scruffy' I'd say (he was going to Raptor it) but nothing of concern or unusual for one of these IMO.
As he says, with baby on the way he needs something more suitable so is open to any part-ex (up or down) for an SUV, large estate, etc.
