I’m not in the market, but how difficult and costly is it to remove the wrap? Now Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.

We got the local graphics company that we use for our vehicles to remove a brown (no really) wrap from a L2H2 Citroen Relay. They charged us £175 iirc..
It's easier and cheaper to remove than apply...
It is a DIY job if you are handy with a heat gun and a credit card.. I have too many other jobs on the go or I would have done it myself.. it would take around 5 hours including removing the trim .. it was a proper 3M wrap.. £4k! 1 TR6 Rusting away quietly

The amount you paid for that wrap is totally irrelevant to its sale.
You should, in my opinion, remove the horrific pink wrap, clean and buff the original paintwork underneath and relist it in its original glory.
I'm sure your missus has had her monies worth from the wrap, but believe me, to secure a sale, it is currently far too individual in its present state, I'm astounded you tried to sell it as such.
Not having a poke but blimey, who did you honestly believe would buy it in its current colour other than Katie Price or your local poodle parlour? Mods:

I think you missed my point... It is a LOT cheaper to remove than it is to apply it.
Our mobile dog grooming van is also pink. It is VERY good for advertising and business.
And there is nout wrong with Poodle Parlours... We have a family business. We do dog walking, mobile dog grooming and we have a custom built salon. lots of our dogs have been thrown out of other salons... We do a lot of 1 on 1 and spend a lot of time and money on rescue work. We also do IMDT dog classes with a maximum of 4 in a class.. as well as behaviour work with dogs that other people have ruined....
So I have little time to put it into my workshop..Its not all about money.. but I have little time left in a day to do much.. I would rather invest my time elsewhere as the emotional return is better. If I have to do it I will.
I still think it's a great car for the money... And I guess the pink colour has achieved what it sets out to do... It made you think of a Poodle Parlour... 1 TR6 Rusting away quietly

Your sales strategy is the only thing I don't get.
In advertising anything, you need to aim it at as wide an audience as possible, because you've not removed the wrap, your audience is reduced to those I mentioned, and I only mentioned poodle parlours because I was aware of the line of work you'd already mentioned and for no other reason, I may have well as mentioned hair dressers.
Like I said, do the work yourself, widen your scope, don't expect a buyer to have to spend their first day of ownership putting right what you couldn't be bothered with yet recognised needed doing.
On paper it is a great vehicle but that colour will put most people off. Mods:

Making a few enquiries today it looks like 'gas guzzlers' are as popular as a rebel Conservative MP. Residuals are dropping through the floor.. be they Pink or any other colour...
Given the number for sale.... and not selling... that could be correct? Lets hope for a bad winter to remind folk that there is a place for our choice of vehicle
Then you look at all the EVs and the waiting lists on some of them.... and Even JLR are moving that way....
As the song goes... times they are a changing..
On the plus side at least you will not get crank failure on an EV... 1 TR6 Rusting away quietly
