The main thing Land Rover at the moment are lacking in is good old reliability it's continually at the lower end of scale compared to the Japanese etc and seem to recall somewhere things will change with new cars coming onto the market against outgoing freelancers/D4/RR......
Well 2/3 years on nothings changed What car and others knock them for warranty & reliability but haven't given feedback as to why?
Or is it all about ££££££ don't care attitude as they are still selling well?...

Whats going on in the UK, 18% drop in sales? Brexit turmoil?

I suspect Australia is heading for some form of economic correction, every economic indicator turned negative in Aug/sept, YoY luxury car sales down 10%, retail sales dropped, ATM transactions at one of our largest bank dropped 20% in a month and the 55 year run up of Sydney house prices came to an end.

a entry level house in a respectable suburb in Sydney is around 1,500,000 pounds.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) sales in the UK slumped in October according to new figures released by the car making giant.

The company said "difficult market conditions" led to retail sales being down 18 per cent in the UK compared to October 2016, while sales were down 3 per cent in Europe and the US.

However, JLR continued to perform well in China with sales up 12 per cent. Other overseas markets also increased by 16 per cent.

Overall JLR sold 46,418 vehicles in October, up 0.2 per cent year-on-year. It said there had been "solid sales" of all models, including the new Range Rover Velar and the Jaguar F-PACE.

Andy Goss, JLR group sales operations director, added: "It's pleasing to see our global sales have been maintained year on year in October, despite facing increasingly challenging conditions in our key UK, US and European markets."

Jaguar retail sales were 12,336 vehicles in October, down 14 per cent on 2016 while Land Rover retailed 34,082 vehicles last month, up seven per cent.

Dr Speth concluded: “Our product portfolio continues to excite and surprise. The all-new Land Rover Discovery is now on sale everywhere and exciting new and existing customers, while the new Velar, the fourth Range Rover, is now enticing a new audience and helping to drive sales growth.

“Looking ahead to the rest of the year, we will continue to focus on our strategic objective of achieving profitable, sustainable growth and will continue to adapt and innovate in the current challenging market conditions.”

No facelift, there were rumours of tailgate redesign for 18MY but still retains its current setup, all that’s been added is the option of a 2.0 Si4 ingenium petrol, digital dash and Incontrol Pro now standard on all models.

Finally spotted another D5 yesterday parked on a road, and I spent a few minutes checking it out.

The design just doesn't work, the Censored end , C pillar and front don't relate to each other, it just looks like 3 different design styles cut and pasted together.

I think I am going to investigate a good 2-3 yo second hand FFRR, at least people will recognise it as a range rover.
