Hi Dunc,
that is a dual purpose device, it has main on/off switch, waterpump switch, internal lights switch, external lights switch, The display reads: time, temp, trailer battery voltage, car battery voltage, water tank contents.
the two knobs you see to the left of the panel are dimmers for the outside and inside lights, further left is the start key for the generator and a 13amp socket. to the right of the panel is 2 12volt outlets.
the panel is a: CBE PC200, Italian made.CLUB "Ah Shor it'll be grand"

That's really a fabulous looking job there Chris 8)
I think I may have spotted you heading West on Friday evening last. You were gone past by the time I saw the D3 / Trailer combo & I wondered if it was you. Then when I saw the camping pictures you posted I reckon it had to have been you alright

Both Chris Disco 3 .. and the Gourmet Camping Trailer found new ownership this year ..
actually not at the same time, but they both went the same way.
The trailer may still be found to be towed by the Disco 3 the occasional time, but more than often actually by a different vehicle ...

Funny fact: Chris is in the last picture and actually got the use of the tailer for both Busfest in Malvern and the Adventure Overland Show in Stratford-upon-Avon last month, even though it was handed over in July.
Also, a few updates have been made to the trailer.
I replaced the original Hyundai generator with one that was LPG converted .. of the same model. It made no sense to me, to carry around 2 fuel sources. A larger tank will probably be one of the next steps.
The solar controller will be replaced with a model, that has a remote readout, so i can see what's going on from the kitchen and a few other nice little things.
A privacy tent has been added, so that the shower doesn't have to be used in the wide open. That also adds a toilet to the setup. Very handy that.

It's probably seen more action this summer, than it has seen in the last 3 years. (The trailer. The D3 always gets abused)
Chris has gone on to bigger projects ... and i mean literally .. so the trailer was being a bit neglegted.
I had guests over and we needed accomodation for 9 (well 8 1/2) people over summer while wild camping.
What better way to use the trailer as part of that to solve that problem. I meant to borrow it for a few weeks, but ended buying it ... seeing I already own the D3, that used to tow it anyhow.
The D3 is one of my daily workhorses. I do too much milage for one vehicle and half of that offroad. So i split the milage between a T4 Syncro, a VW LT40 4x4, an Audi Allroad and the Disco 3. I also have a Defender 110 with a 3.5l Mazda SLTi under the bonnet, that gets used in anger occassionally.
