Is there anything to be said for staying in a motel? A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.
Personally I'd have gone for Radials rather than crossply Iggy but they seem to fit OK, have you enough room for suspension compression without fouling? That's all that's really key Altox GSM FBH controller thread

I think there's enough space Greg, jumped about on it, but won't know for sure until I take her out for a proper test drive along the Dunes and see how they get on Iggy/Ieuan

Right, all the parts have now arrived for my new 'Tow hitch' - managed to get this from 'Moo'

Then ordered a height adjustable plate from the 'Bay' and bolted on my Sankey claw - very quick and easy to remove now....I have a standard towbar which I'll be adding to a 2nd plate for quick swaps if needed

Looks like I need to tighten that right hand side bolt.....but only on for show at the moment

Sticks a little further out than my last hitch, so it means it now actually clears the lower tailgate
Plan to do a test drive this weekend (try out the new trailer boots as well)Iggy/Ieuan

Sorry Darren I didn't take any, but I'm looking for some for you.....here's a couple of zoomed pics
The bottom has a part which fits up into the 'receiver' hole within the Disco3/4, as you can see it is bolted to the frame:

The top half, essentially bolts to the tow eye, you can just see it in these pic:

There is also a 'hook' plate, which hooks into the area on the Disco where the std swan neck tow ball gets locked into - looks like this:

Sorry the pics are not clear Iggy/Ieuan

Test drive went well, no tyre rubbing and hitch did well

Took about 30 seconds to pull the plate off with the sankey claw on, now stored in Garage. Can put my std tow ball (with its own plate) on in 30 secs as well Iggy/Ieuan
