Well it survived my little drive yesterday, 60mph on dual carriageway, across a bit of beach and the national trust rough track
Looks very solid and anchored to disco in 3 separate areas
I'll be at the Jan Buxton camp if anybody wants a look Iggy/Ieuan

What's that about, for recovery use only not for road use.
Probably connected to the not CE approved..
And: Not suitable for general towing on public highway. might well refer to the fact it won't 'fit' a normal tow ball/socket arrangement.

All cars manufactured after about 1997 need to be fitted with a type approved tow bar in order to tow legally on the highway; this looks substantial enough to me to be type approved
It certainly projects far enough backwards to prevent rear end car park dinks.

Looks great. The quick change facility of a Dixon Bate is one of the things I miss from my Defender days.Darren

Few little updates.....
Sold the Geyser hot water system as was only using it as a pump, now added a simple 12v pump and tube that runs of a simple switch (Thanks to Sailorboy for the pump).....will simply heat any needed water on the stove or hob
Very basic, but works for me

I've also managed to unbolt the box/top half of the camper and lifted the rear using the jockey wheel to raise the back and straps to hang from the rafters - Waiting for a couple of 300kg weight limited straps to arrive, then I should finally have the ability to use it as a standard trailer again.
Once the top is lifted off, will simply wheel Sankey out from underneath it Iggy/Ieuan

I think you're right Greg, spent a couple of hours last night, took all that I could out of the box, then lowered the jokey as far as it would go, strapped the back, raised the front back up and the box lifted a good 8 inches off the trailer
All going well so far....so raised the front as far as it could go, then strapped the front to the joists, before lowering the jockey. All looked to be going well, but I just couldn't get enough height to lift the box off at the front. Also ran into issues when lowering everything back as the bolt holes wouldn't line up and the box is just too heavy to move about Eventually, had to play around for 30 mins or so, lifting, pushing, lowering to line everything up
So I've given up on that one....had to empty the Disco today to do the tip-run
So in conclusion, it's staying as a camper trailer and not unfortunately a multi use trailer Iggy/Ieuan

Back from camping in the Gower for 4 nights, and 1st time with the new to me Oztent - Few pics:
Stretchers were perfect and slept really well, plenty of storage space under them as well:

Cut out a rectangle into the 'Deluxe Front Panel' so we can access the trailer and fridge directly from the tent, plan to put velcro round the cut so that it's all waterproof when not using the trailer:

Need to do a bit more work on the join between tent and trailer, but nothing overly difficult

And finally the views from the campsite Perfect location, with one tap and 4 smelly portaloo's but loved it
